Legal basis for data protection
The legal basis for data processing within the framework of the EU General Data Protection Regulation is derived from Art. 6 GDPR. Depending on the situation in which we process your data, different legal bases may apply.
Consent
Insofar as your consent has been obtained for the processing of personal data, Article 6 I a) GDPR is the legal basis for data processing. Consent that has been granted can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
Contract
When processing personal data collected for the fulfilment of a contract to which you are a party, Article 6 I b) GDPR is the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures.
Legal obligation
Insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Article 6 I c) GDPR serves as the legal basis.
Vital interests
In the event that vital interests of you or another natural person require the processing of personal data, Article 6 I d) GDPR is the legal basis.
Legitimate interest
If the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest, Article 6 I f) GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing. The legitimate interest of our company lies in the performance of our business activities.
Employment relationship
In accordance with Article 88 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in conjunction with Section 26 of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), personal data of employees is processed for the purposes of the employment relationship if this is necessary for the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship or, after the establishment of the employment relationship, for its implementation or termination or for the exercise or fulfilment of the rights and obligations of the representation of the interests of the employees arising from a law or collective agreement, a works or service agreement (collective agreement).

- in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR, the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine- readable format or to request that it be transferred to another controller
- in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our company headquarters for this purpose

Application Process
You have the opportunity to send us an unsolicited application or apply for an advertised position. You can use our online application tool to submit your application. In addition to your general contact details, you can also upload your CV, references, cover letter, application photo and other documents and send them to us. The transmission of your data in the online application tool is encrypted. The data is stored in a database.
Alternatively, you can also send us your application by e-mail. Please note, however, that in this case your data will be transmitted to us unencrypted.
We use your personal data exclusively to carry out the application process. Only persons entrusted with personnel selection will have access to your application. This may also apply to service providers who support us in the recruitment process. We have concluded the necessary data protection agreements with them, in particular an additional agreement on order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data as part of the application process is Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with § 26 BDSG.
If you apply for a specific position and are not accepted for it, we will delete or anonymise your data 6 months after the end of the application process, unless you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR to include your person in our talent pool and for our company to contact you about job offers that may be of interest to you.
In this case, we will store your application data until you revoke your consent to us. Your consent is voluntary and you have the right to revoke it at any time, without giving reasons, with effect for the future. Upon receipt of your cancellation, we will delete your personal data, provided that it is not subject to any statutory retention periods.
If your application leads to employment in our company, we will store your data for the entire duration of the employment relationship.
The personnel administration and applicant management software used in the online application process, in which your application data is stored, is operated by our service provider Personio SE & Co. KG Seidlstraße 3 80335 Munich, Germany.
We have concluded a so-called additional agreement on order processing with the service provider in accordance with the provisions of Art. 28 GDPR.
